World Autism Awareness Week…

Last week saw the annual World #AutismAwarenessWeek campaign take place, with the Bluebirds Charity supporting the campaign from 1st – 7th April.

As well as running our Bluebirds Ability sessions, we are now inviting disability groups to spend the day at our sensory room at Cardiff City Stadium on a non-matchday.

Education Open Evening…

We also welcomed a number of potential learners to our third Open Evening of the academic year at Cardiff City House of Sport, to find out more about the Education & Sport courses we offer.

Over 40 guests joined us for a ‘Seeing is Believing’ event, which involved visitors being given an insight into both the practical and theoretical side of the BTEC Sport qualification.

EFL Trust All Stars retain title…

Congratulations go out to three of the Foundation’s education students, who represented the All Star South West squad in the EFL Trust Regional Finals at St George’s Park.

Ollie, Ryan and Antonio were part of the team that went undefeated on the day, beating the North, Midlands and South East squads on their way to the title.

Veterans visit Sophia Gardens…

Members of the Foundation’s Veterans Project visited Sophia Gardens on Saturday, taking part in sporting activities before having a tour of the cricket ground.

Activities included wheelchair cricket, before watching Glamorgan take on Cardiff MCCU in the sunshine.
