We’re delighted to confirm that Cardiff City Football Club has been shortlisted for Best Fan Engagement by a Club ahead of the 2018 Football Business Awards.
The Bluebirds are up for the prestigious award alongside Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Huddersfield Town, Leicester City and Portsmouth. The winner will be announced at the Football Business Awards’ annual ceremony on Thursday, 22nd November.
Cardiff City FC has previously been recognised by the Football Business Awards, winning Best Matchday Experience at the 2016 ceremony.
The Football Business Awards recognise and reward the hard work that takes place in supporting the success of the game. It is the national event at which all the achievements off the pitch are celebrated at the end of each year.
With an illustrious judging panel selected for their particular experience and expertise the FBA’s has grown into a significant annual event.
Speaking of the nomination, Cardiff City FC Executive Director & CEO, Ken Choo, said: “We achieved great success on the field last season in earning promotion back to the Premier League, but a Football Club relies on the efforts undertaken off the field, too, in order to progress, flourish and be dutiful to its supporters.
“I’m thrilled to see that our efforts in relation to fan engagement have been recognised by the Football Business Awards panel and would like to thank our staff at Cardiff City FC for their continued efforts in this area.”
Fan Engagement Manager, Amy McNiven, added: “We are delighted that our efforts and the City As One ethos have been recognised by the Football Business Awards this year.
“Being shortlisted for Best Fan Engagement by a club tops off a momentous 2018 on the field. Being back in the Premier League has given us a greater platform but also greater responsibility.
