Awards 2018
Following Cardiff City FC's promotion to the Premier League, the Bluebirds held their annual Awards Night at the Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel.
The exclusive black-tie event, in association with Foster’s, took place in the heart of the City for the first time since 2009.
The victorious Neil Warnock and his first team squad were in attendance, with Rhydian Bowen-Phillips hosting.
The evening kicked off with speeches from Cardiff City FC Executive Director & CEO, Ken Choo, Chairman, Mehmet Dalman and Owner, Tan Sri Vincent Tan.
The first winner announced on the night was Cardiff City Academy's Player of the Year, Sion Spence.

While Cardiff City FC Women's Player of the Year was named as Lisa Owen.

Next up was the 2017/18 Community Participant of the Year award, won by Callum Gyde.

Following the main course, it was time for the first team awards...
First up, was the Young Player of the Season award, as voted by you, the fans.
And the winner was... Callum Paterson!

Meanwhile, our next award was a special one, as we presented the second annual Outstanding Contribution award to Club Doctor, Len Nokes.
Len has been with the Bluebirds since 1991, working for the Club across all four divisions, at a Play-Off Final, a League Cup Final and an FA Cup Final. A true domestic clean sweep!

The Cardiff City Goal of the Season award was voted for by those present on the evening...
And the worthy winner was... Sol Bamba's sensational strike against Brentford.

Finally, it was time for the main event - the Cardiff City 2017/18 Player of the Season Award.
After thousands of votes, just 1% separated the top two, with Sol Bamba coming in as an extremely close runner up.
However, the award went to his central defensive partner and the Skipper, Sean Morrison.
