Cardiff City Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of Gary Madine for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.
The 27-year old forward joins from Bolton Wanderers, and has signed a deal at Cardiff City Stadium until the summer of 2021.
Madine began his professional career with Carlisle United, before joining Sheffield Wednesday, where he helped the club win promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.
He moved to the Macron Stadium in 2015, and netted 24 league goals during his time at Wanderers – including 10 so far this campaign.
Speaking moments after Gary signed his Cardiff City contract, manager Neil Warnock gave us his thoughts, saying: “He’s been my number one choice all season and I’m delighted to capture him.
"He’s been worth the wait, although I must admit that it wasn’t until the last 24 hours that I thought it might be possible. I must thank Vincent, Mehmet and Ken for their hard work in getting this over the line. I’m sure the fans will join me in welcoming Gary to the Club.”
