Neil Warnock held a pre-match press conference on Friday morning, before the Bluebirds head to Yorkshire to face Leeds United this Saturday (KO: 3pm).
City will be in the hunt for a League double over the Whites, but the Gaffer explained that his men would need to be firing on all cylinders to achieve that.
“They’re a good passing side,” began the Gaffer. “They’ve got some really good players and we know we’ll have to be on our game.
“It’s always exciting and the atmosphere is so good. It’s a footballing place and I like going back up to Yorkshire.”
When asked if he was expecting a full-blooded encounter at Elland Road, Neil responded: “They all are in the Championship - I’ve not seen a game that’s not.
“They’re desperate to get in the Play-Offs and we’re desperate to stay up there. We’re going to find that every game and there’s going to be something at stake in each of our last 18 matches.”
The City boss also let us know what he’s expecting from the Bluebirds’ deadline day recruits, Gary Madine and Jamie Ward.
“I think both Zohore and Madine have both got assets. We do see [playing them together] as a possibility, whether that’s starting a game or during it - they’d be handfuls for defenders, wouldn’t they?
“I’ve always loved Jamie Ward. He can be susceptible to injuries but he’s fully fit at the moment and with 18 games left, he’s ready to go.
“If we can keep him fit he gives us something in that last half an hour that I don’t think we’ve got. He can play both sides, in the hole and all over the show. I love his attitude and I think there’s a goal in him.”
