Bluebirds nominated for 'Most Innovative Sports Partnership’
Cardiff City FC is delighted to confirm that the Club alongside Tripleplay has been nominated in the Sports Technology Awards 2018.
This recognition is for our work improving Cardiff City Stadium, the House of Sport facilities, First Team training ground, Academy and Cardiff City FC Foundation with the club’s official digital partner. Tripleplay were previously awarded ‘Best Technology for Commercial Returns’ at the 2016 Sports Technology Awards.
Founded in 2014, the Sports Technology Awards are now in their fifth cycle. The Bluebirds were also in the running last year - the #ClubGOTM campaign shortlisted in the ‘Most Innovative Fan Engagement’ award.
The winners will be presented in London, on May 3rd, in front of an audience consisting of senior industry figures, influencers and athletes.

Rebecca Hopkins, STA Group CEO, owners of the Sports Technology Awards, said: “The range of technology submitted varied widely and offered outstanding levels of innovation - we did’t envy the judges in their task. Cliched as it is to say that being shortlisted is a result in itself, but in this case - given the opposition - it is true. Whichever brands win, it will be an amazing achievement.”
Cardiff City FC Executive Director & CEO Ken Choo added: “We’re delighted to be nominated in the prestigious Sports Technology Awards for a second consecutive year.
“As I’ve mentioned previously, it is important for Cardiff City FC to move with the times. We are committed to our supporters and continuing to improve the Cardiff City Stadium experience.”
