Neil Warnock held a pre-match press conference at the Vale Resort ahead of the Bluebirds' midweek trip to face West Ham United.
After Friday night's home victory over Wolves, City have won three matches from a losing position this term - as many as anyone in the Premier League - and the Gaffer began by focussing on the Bluebirds' team spirit.
"We don't know when to give in and that's been epitomised by our performances in the last couple of years," he said. "We've always hung in there and managed to get results.
"I can't praise the lads enough; they're a very good group. We know we're limited in certain things but when the crowd gets going like that, it really drives you on."
Neil soon turned his attention to Tuesday evening's contest at London Stadium, as he revealed how his men are set to approach the clash with the Hammers.
"We'll try to be positive," continued the City boss. "We're struggling a little bit injury-wise so we haven't got a lot of options at the moment.
"They've got a very, very good front four - as good as anyone in the division, but we've got to go there and try and compete.
"We'll have our hands full, but I do feel that people like Bruno [Ecuele Manga], Mozza [Morrison] and Sol [Bamba] are playing really well. I don't think we're in awe of anyone.
"It's important that we're very strong and well organised to start with, but I do feel we've got a few more options to actually change a game, with Mendez[-Laing] coming back too, which is important at this level."
