Young Bluebirds suffer defeat against the Whites…
A first half strike from Jack Clarke separated the two teams as the visitors took all three points.
The Whites got the game underway but it was the promising Bluebirds who showed early dominance in the match. Both Sam Parsons and Isaak Davies had chances before the first ten minutes.
There was also opportunities for the visitors early on but skipper Jack Bodenham did superbly to block Bobby Kamwa’s strike from outside the area in the 16th minute.
Despite Bellamy’s boys being the brighter of the two teams early on it was the away side who took the early advantage. George Ratcliffe cleared a dangerous ball but it was eventually met by Leeds forward Clarke who fired in the opener after 26 minutes.
Shortly after, the away side almost doubled their advantage. Alfie McCalmont saw his strike hit the frame of goal before Ratcliffe produced a marvellous stop to deny Alex Wollerton from range after 34 minutes played.
On the 62 minutes the Bluebirds were unfortunate not to be on level terms. Kieron Evans had a shot which was blocked on the line by the away defence.
The hosts continued to press for an equaliser and were almost rewarded when Sion Spence’s header from a corner was cleared off the line with less than 20 minutes left to play.
City showed great team spirit to try and get back into the game, but the Whites held on to secure an away win.
