Cardiff City travel to the Madejski Stadium this Saturday to take on Jaap Stam’s high-flying Reading. After putting on a brave showing against Brighton & Hove Albion in midweek, the Bluebirds will head to Berkshire full of confidence.
Skipper Sean Morrison, who’s been a stalwart in the heart of City’s defence this season, is looking forward to returning to face his former club, but is under no illusions of the task at hand.
“Been back a couple of times now, still got a couple of friends down there and it will be nice to see some familiar faces,” Sean said. “But I’m just looking forward to the game to be honest.
“It’s going to be a very difficult game; they’ve had a very good half of the season. They look like they’re going to be one of the teams around the top six, potentially the top two, so we’re going to have to be at our best to come away with anything.
“They’re going to have a lot of possession of the ball, but we’ll go down there with a game plan – try and frustrate them, make it difficult, and the main objective is to come back with all three points.”
