Early Bird Festive Offer: Cardiff City vs Hull City!
Sol began by evaluating the threats that Nigel Adkins’ Hull side will bring to South Wales.
“I think it’s always dangerous when you change manager,” he began. “You want to show the new manager how good you are, so we need to be ready for that.
“There are no easy games in the Championship - we know that. We’re unbeaten at home so we need to be prepared to keep that going. If we play the way we know we can play, I think we should get the three points.
“If you want to do anything in this league, your home record has to be good. Our home is a fortress and we want to keep it like that.”
The Bluebirds have conceded just 16 goals in 21 matches this term, fewer than any other side in the league.
The City centre-half explained the pride that he and his teammates take in keeping opposing teams out.
“We’re definitely proud of it,” smiled Sol. “As a defender, we love a clean sheet. We’ve always got the lads laughing at us when we’ve kept a clean sheet, because we’re happy like we’ve won the World Cup!
“It means a lot to us and having the best defence in the league is massive for us. We’re very proud of that, that’s for sure.”
