Cardiff City add Brian Murphy to goalkeeping ranks...
Cardiff City Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Brian Murphy, subject to international clearance.
33-year old Murphy, previously with Manchester City, Ipswich Town, Queens Park Rangers and Portsmouth among others, has signed a two-year deal at Cardiff City Stadium, joining the Club on a free transfer.
Upon his arrival, we spoke to Murphy along with fellow new boy Ben Amos and young 'keeper Ben Wilson - who has signed a contract extension at CCS.
Read the thoughts of all three stoppers below, with the full interviews available now on Cardiff City Player HD.
BRIAN MURPHY
Speaking after signing his Cardiff City contract, Brian said: “I'm delighted to be here and looking forward to getting going now.
"I'm used to working hard and that's what I'll do. Hopefully we'll push each other every day and when it comes to Saturday, you get what you deserve."
Brian also explained some prior links he has with the Bluebirds, including his friendship with City legend, Stephen McPhail.
"I've met a couple of the guys already," he continued. "I know Conns [Matthew Connolly] from QPR a few years ago, and I'm sure over the next few days I'll get to know them.
"I know Macca through the Irish connection too. He's a great lad; he's back playing in Ireland now and I think he's going into coaching. What he's come through over the last few years, and come out the better, has been great and he's a bit of a legend here, I believe!
"I'm sure I'll get in contact with him and find out a bit about Cardiff."
BEN AMOS
Cardiff City Player HD also took the opportunity to speak to the Bluebirds' other new goalkeeping recruit, Ben Amos.
The former Manchester United stopper, who will wear City's number twenty-one shirt, arrived last week on a season-long loan from Bolton Wanderers.
Ben joined us at the Bluebirds' Vale training base and let us know his first impressions of the Club. "It's a great set of lads here," he said.
"I came here to get games under my belt and obviously I'll have good competition from the other 'keepers. We'll be pitching ourselves against each other every day in training and look to improve as much as possible."

BEN WILSON
Twenty-four year old Ben Wilson recently signed a contract extension with the Bluebirds, ahead of making his First Team début against Reading last weekend.
"I'm very, very pleased to have signed," said the young 'keeper on his new contract.
"It's just pure excitement to sign for another two years playing for Cardiff City, and hopefully another good two years ahead of me."
Ben spoke to us about his first Cardiff City Stadium appearance last weekend, along with his hopes for the 2016/17 campaign.
"It was amazing... Seeing my name on the board, the nerves ran through my body - but they were good nerves and it got me through the game well. I thoroughly enjoyed it, apart from the outcome at the end.
"I've trained with Ben [Amos] a good couple of times now and, sitting next to him in the changing room, he's a great guy. It's great to have him around and I can learn from him a lot. Brian has been around the game for a while now and he seems like a good guy too so I'm looking forward to the season to come now."
