Cardiff City recognised for technology innovation at CCS...
Cardiff City FC has been shortlisted for ‘Best/Most Innovative use of Technology by a Club’ at the Football Business Awards 2016.The Football Business Awards recognise and reward the hard work that takes place to support the success of the game. This is the national event at which all the achievements off the pitch are celebrated at the end of each year.
With an illustrious judging panel selected for their particular experience and expertise the Football Business Awards has grown into a significant annual football calendar event. The awards are becoming more and more difficult to win every year, and an increasingly valuable marketing badge for those who manage to do so.
Now in their fifth year the 2016 ceremony will be held at the Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal FC, on Thursday 3rd November.
The Club has been recognized for its continued efforts in the digital sphere and the implementation – in conjunction with partners Tripleplay - of twelve months of digital improvement throughout Cardiff City Stadium, in-line with the club’s continued focus on fan engagement.
The club now boasts cutting-edge digital signage and statzones throughout the Stadium’s concourse and hospitality areas, as well as an IPTVnetwork that allows us to send out key correspondence to more digital platforms, and more end users, than ever before.
In addition, the past year has seen 15 new Ricoh HD Projectors (ranging from 120” – 179”) installed throughout the stadium, allowing fans in each of the stands, as well as the hospitality areas, to view live matches and a wealth of in-house produced club content as part of their match-day experience.
"Commitment to supporters is key to this"Ken Choo:
Cardiff City Executive Director & CEO Ken Choo said of being shortlisted: “Following a year’s worth of significant investment and improvement in this field, I’m delighted that we’ve been recognized by the Football Business Awards.
“Our digital strategy has seen us acknowledged on a national and European scale during 2016 and whilst we will continue to evolve, it is gratifying to see that the process is being recognized and, most importantly, supporters are enjoying what we are able to offer them. Our commitment to supporters is key to this.”
