Ralls cites back-to-back to victories as Play-Off race heats up...
City midfielder Joe Ralls spoke exclusively to Cardiff City Player HD’s ‘In The City’ ahead of the Bluebirds’ home fixture with MK Dons this weekend (TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE).
Having started in all but one of City’s twenty-nine League fixtures to date this term, the twenty-two year old has firmly established himself as one of Russell Slade’s key men in 2015/16.
And speaking in reference to Saturday’s clash with the Dons, Joe said: “These two games [against MK Dons and Charlton] will definitely be important, but every game is tough. We approach them all in the same way.
“Hopefully we can get two good results against MK Dons on Saturday and Charlton next weekend, which will take us into the games against Brighton and Middlesbrough later in the month with confidence.”
Milton Keynes struggled in last weekend’s 5-1 FA Cup defeat to Chelsea, though Joe feels the result shouldn’t be read into that much when considering the challenge at Cardiff City Stadium this weekend.
“I don’t think you can read too much into the Cup game, it was a one-off game and a bit of a release from league demands really,” he reflected. “Now it’s back in the League, I’d expect it to be a bit of a tighter contest.
“We’ve played them twice this year of course, so we know a lot about them. They try and play a lot of passing football which means you have to make sure you’re picking up, but on the flip side it means they can leave themselves a bit open. We’ll be looking to exploit that and I think we’ll have a good chance.
“We’re four points off the Play-Offs. You only need to look at the league table and the amount of games we have left to see that. It’s now about taking it game by game and getting the points on the board, simple as that really.”
