Bluebirds defender Matt Connolly believes that tonight’s game at home to Wolves and Saturday’s CCS clash with Barnsley can help set the tone for the remainder of the season.
Neil Warnock’s side are undefeated this month following good draws against Brighton and Ipswich, though City’s five-season defensive veteran feels victories this week are crucial to further progression being made.
“I’d say these are the two biggest matches of the season, with tonight’s game maybe being the most important for us,” said Connors – in an exclusive interview that you can read in full in tonight’s edition of ‘The Bluebird.’
“It’s the chance to get a home win and build straight into that game on Saturday as well. Obviously, we just have to concentrate on this match against Wolves first though.
“The fans have been really good, which has helped us at home, even though things have been quite difficult for us.
"Credit to them; we need to give them a boost now, to help them to come, watch us, get off their feet and cheer us on. It’s the biggest game for us this season and we need to get the three points.”
