U21: BIRMINGHAM CITY 1-2 CARDIFF CITY

29th September
Kevin Nicholson's U21 development side returned to winning ways on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Birmingham City, 2-1, at their Wast Hills Training Ground home.
The Bluebirds dominated throughout the opening 45 minutes and deservedly took the lead nine minutes after the start when Tommy O'Sullivan fired in.
City doubled their advantage just before the half-time break, Theo Wharton with a finesse shot from 15 yards that nestled in the back of Connal Trueman's net.
The hosts managed to pull a goal back late on from the penalty spot, Alex Jones clinically dispatching the spot kick but Nicholson's men hung on to deservedly pick up the win.
