Russell Slade spoke to the press and media this morning, looking ahead to Monday’s Severnside Derby against Bristol City.
The City manager cited the match as a chance for the Bluebirds to build momentum and continue competing towards the top of the Sky Bet Championship.
“We go in to Monday’s game knowing that a win could take us into the top six,” began Russell.
“It’s a big game. They are our neighbours, so we’re looking forward to a good atmosphere. They’ll have plenty of support as well, so it should be a good match between two sides looking for three valuable points.
“Bristol City are an improving side, they’ve got a system that they’ve played under Steve [Cotterill] for a while now, and are beginning to adjust to life in the Championship.
“It was a big boost for us to match Middlesbrough and get the three points on Tuesday though, and we want to keep our momentum going on Monday.”
