THE BIG WRAP 2015: CALLING ALL CITY FANS
Club News
19th November
Please help by donating a gift to The Big Wrap before City vs Burnley.
For the fourth consecutive season, Cardiff City Football Club is delighted to be working alongside The Big Wrap, to ensure that Christmas reaches every child this year.Working in partnership with local agencies and run by volunteers, the Big Wrap relies entirely on donations from local organisations and members of the public to provide presents to disadvantaged children and young people aged 0-19 in Wales.
Last Christmas, with the assistance of Cardiff City Football Club and its fans, The Big Wrap helped over 500 children.
This year we’re calling on all City supporters to get involved once again and donate a present to a worthy cause at our next home match against Burnley.
Presents will be given to children and young people identified by front line care professionals, including social workers, local charities and churches.
If you would like to donate a gift (which should be new and unwrapped) to the Cardiff City FC Big Wrap appeal, you can do so at the Cardiff City Stadium Store any time from NOW until our home fixture against Burnley on 28th November.
Susan Lloyd-Selby, the Big Wrap coordinator, said: “each year we've run the Big Wrap, our volunteers have received more and more requests to help disadvantaged children. This year we've already received a number of referrals for children who've never received a gift at Christmas time.
"With the help of Cardiff City Football Club and its fans, we can make sure every child wakes up to a present on Christmas morning.
"We'd like to offer our thanks to everyone who's donated in previous years and to all those who are thinking about getting involved this year, please be assured that every single donation - no matter how small - makes a big difference to a child in need."
The Big Wrap will be delighted to receive new, unwrapped toys and gift tokens or financial donations. Gifts will be accepted at the Cardiff City Stadium Store and the Vale Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry.
