New signing Sammy eager to impress City faithful

As announced earlier this evening on cardiffcityfc.co.uk, Sammy Ameobi has committed to a season long-loan with the Bluebirds.

Speaking exclusively to Cardiff City Player HD in his first Bluebirds interview, Sammy said: “I came here to play, add creativity and hopefully excite the Cardiff City supporters.

“I'm delighted to be here with the boys and straight into training. I can't wait to get started."

Bluebirds Boss Russell Slade added: “It’s about being patient and getting the right players into your Football Club. 

"It’s always about quality – of player and character – rather than quantity.

“We bided our time and now we’re delighted to get our man in Sammy. He’s a fantastic addition to this squad.”
