YOUNG: WE’RE READY FOR MK DONS

Ahead of Cardiff City’s trip to Stadium mk, Scott Young spoke to the assembled press and media on Tuesday to look ahead to the Boxing Day fixture.
The Bluebirds’ Assistant Manager first explained how injuries sustained this week by centre-halves Sean Morrison and Ben Turner would affect the City side.
“Sean Morrison is going to be out for a good few weeks,” began Young. “While Ben Turner has gone over on his other ankle and, like with Morrison, we are waiting to see what the specialist says for an exact timescale.
“They are two top end Championship defenders, so to lose them both is obviously going to be a blow. However, Bruno Manga was our Player of the Year last season and had been unfortunate with injuries not to get into the team. Morrison and Connolly have been a strong partnership, so he’s had to wait for his chance, and now he can take it.”
Young then assessed the Bluebirds’ opponents, MK Dons, warning that the match would not be an easy one, despite the Dons’ current 21st-place position.
“When you’re going away from home, any match in the Championship is tough,” he added. “They’ve had one or two great results of late as well. We’re going to go there with the same mentality as we did at Birmingham – to go at them, try and create chances and score goals.
“Even after a disappointing result on Friday, the vibe in training this week has been really positive. Everyone is right at it and ready for the next one.”
