Cardiff City to be involved in Premier League event

Cardiff City Football Club are delighted to be a part of the inaugural Barclays Premier League LIVE event to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa this month.

The event, which will be held at the Zoo Lake Sports Club in Johannesburg from Saturday 29th March to Sunday 30th March, will see a free to enter fan park allow South Africans to watch and experience the Premier League like never before.

Fans will get to see the Barclays Premier League trophy, with supporters also able to learn about all 20 Premier League clubs - picturing themselves lifting the famous trophy in the colours of their favourite club using green screen technology.

With live matches also to be shown throughout the weekend on giant screens, Cardiff City are one of a number of clubs, including Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland to hold stands at the event.

On the City stand you’ll be able to have a go at ‘Quick Feet’, a coaching product used by our elite academy, challenging you to match the high scores set by our first-team stars. - This was featured on In the City recently, click here to view!

There will also be a media interview area, where you can experience what it feels like to be put in front of the camera and in front of the real media interview backdrops following a match, answering questions from a member of the club media team – You will also get to keep the footage to share with your family and friends!

Furthermore, we have an exciting competition for five of our South African based supporters to train with some Barclays Premier League legends!
