City defeated by local rivals at Port Talbot's GenQuip Stadium
Kevin Nicholson's Cardiff City Academy side were knocked out of the FAW Youth Cup at the semi-final stage after a 3-1 defeat to Swansea City at Port Talbot Town's GenQuip Stadium.
Ryan Hedges got the Swans off to the best of starts just before the half hour mark, latching on to loose Tom Burridge back pass before turning and finishing confidently to give the Swans the lead. It was enough to give the Swans the lead at the interval.
City responded in the second period as the impressive Abdi Noor slammed home a half volley at the far post to equalise. Just nine minutes later the Swans had regained their lead however as Josh Sheehan produced the spectacular to catch Joe Massaro off his line from 45 yards.
Noor suffered what looked like a nasty knock 17 minutes from time, a collision that saw the Cardiff frontman stretchered off and replaced by Eli Phipps. Swansea put the result beyond doubt from the penalty spot four minutes from time as Kyle Copp won and converted from the spot. Cardiff's David Tutonda received his second booking for the game and was subsequently sent off for the challenge.
