Cardiff City's YouTube continues to deliver for our Football Club
Cardiff City’s YouTube channel celebrated its first birthday last weekend, having been the premier source of Bluebirds news and behind the scenes footage for the past 12 months.Delivered by the Cardiff City Player AV team, the Bluebirds YouTube channel has allowed more people on an international scale to find out what goes on at Cardiff City – outside of the more readily accessible match-day environment.
Sony UK Technologies & Euro Commercials - valuable partners of the AV team.
Indeed, the statistics speak for themselves: Bluebirds YouTube content has garnered 1,494,134 views to date, with more than 50% of those views having come from key demographics across three continents. Countries such as Malaysia, Norway, Chile and South Korea are now more in tune with our Football Club than ever before.
Speaking to cardiffcityfc.co.uk this weekend, Cardiff City’s Audio-Visual Manager Jamie DeCruz told us why he and his team are committed to furthering the Club’s global reach through the use of innovative broadcast media.
“Cardiff City Football Club has grown immeasurably in recent years and the AV team are aware of the role we play in helping deliver the Club’s key messages,” said Jamie. "Tan Sri Vincent Tan’s continued backing of what we do is of huge significance and allows us to prosper, while I’d also like to mention Sony UK Technologies and Euro Commercials for their tremendous support.
“The AV department is proud of the work it does as a small, but strong team, providing interesting Club content that supporters look forward to viewing and can rely on. In addition, we work closely with the Club’s commercial staff to ensure that we’re not only providing enjoyable content, but promoting the brand and the Club’s image across the world to the very highest of standards.
“The success of our YouTube channel – in line with the work we do for our in-house premium TV station, Cardiff City Player – is very pleasing. I want to thank my Assistant Manager Mike Britton and Broadcast Host Amy McNiven in particular, for their diligence and dedication."
The Club's Head of Commercial, Nic Heslop, reflected: “A thriving broadcast operation, such as that delivered by Jamie and his team, is invaluable from the Club’s Commercial perspective.
“Having fresh, consistent and frequent Cardiff City messages being delivered across the globe - through the YouTube channel in particular - allows us to tap-in further to the international market and compete even more closely with British football’s biggest names.
“The channel, thanks to the passion and commitment of the AV team, will only grow and give further, precious exposure.”
