COWIE GOAL SECURES SEVERNSIDE DERBY WIN

Kevin Cooper's side win in lunchtime kick-off at CCS

Don Cowie's seventh minute strike was enough to secure the win for Cardiff City's Development squad over Bristol City at Cardiff City Stadium.

Having already secured top spot in the PDL2 South table, Kevin Cooper will be delighted to see his Under-21s see out the regular season in style with three points over their Severnside rivals.

Cowie got the Bluebirds off to a flying start as David Richards palmed away Jo Inge Berget's initial effort, only for the Scot to be in the right place at the right time to guide home the rebound. It proved to be the match winning goal.
