CITY FANS GET TASTE FOR TRAVEL!
Hundreds of Cardiff City fans will eat for free this Saturday, when family stand sponsor Peter’s hands them some Championship cheer.
As the City faithful begin their 480-mile round-trip to Blackpool they’ll be able to feast on a selection of Bedwas-baked savouries.
Peter's Marketing controller Clare Morgan told us: "This is a gift from one top of the table team to another; we know the fans are City's twelfth man and it's right that they are looked after.
“It’s a long trip to Bloomfield Road but we hope that our pasties, rolls and slices will make it seem a little shorter.”
Peter’s staff will meet supporters at Cardiff City Stadium this Saturday, 19th January at around 9.00am, handing freebies to those setting off on the official Cardiff City Supporters Club coaches. Over a hundred fans are expected to leave from the Stadium, with close to a 1,000 making the trip in total.
Peter’s, one of Wales’ top food firms, began sponsoring Cardiff City Stadium's Family Stand this season. The two-year deal saw Peter’s secure official partner status at the Football League Championship club. Along with the full Family Stand branding and fans’ product sampling there is Peter’s-related fun match-day activities for parents and children.
Peter’s supplies more than 70 other sports arenas including the Millennium Stadium, Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge, London Wasps’ Vicarage Road, Rugby League grounds, cricket, golf and racing venues.
Favourite products include the Steak & Brains Ale Pie, the XL Sausage Roll, the Cheesy Bean & Sausage Slice and the Corned Beef Pasty.
Further Peter’s Feed the Fans initiatives are planned in May (v Hull City). For more information, visit: www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk www.ccsc.co.uk and www.petersfood.co.uk
