Brighton First Team Coach Charlie Oatway praised his side's performance on Tuesday night - but predicted great things for Cardiff when looking at the bigger picture.
"This was a massive win for us," said Charlie. "To come to Cardiff with the form that they have shown this season, and to get a result like that is fantastic for us, and pushes us closer to the top six.
"We had to soak up a lot of pressure, as does any team coming to Cardiff. But I think that they are going to be hard to catch, they’ve got a great squad.
"When we got the ball we needed to keep it, and we did just that to make it as difficult as possible for Cardiff. When they did get through, our goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak was in tremendous form, and considering that we were without Ashley Barnes who was suspended and Craig Mackail-Smith who had a slight injury, we are well pleased with the way that it went.
"Cardiff will be disappointed, but I can’t see anyone catching them."
