Welsh international rewarded for breakthrough season
has signed a new long-term deal with Cardiff City that will keep him at the Football Club until 2018.Declan John
The young full-back – who made his senior Wales debut earlier in the season – has been rewarded for his hard work since progressing through Kevin Cooper’s Development squad and into Malky Mackay’s Premier League squad reckoning.
Declan made his Barclays Premier League bow at West Ham United back in August, impressing over the course of the 90 minutes as he stepped in to cover the suspended Andrew Taylor. He has since played twice in the Capital One Cup against Accrington and again at West Ham, remaining a firm part of the Manager’s match-day squad.
