ahead of this weekend’s top of the table clash with Middlesbrough.Cardiff City Player spoke exclusively to Malky Mackay
In reference to the big game ahead Malky said: “It’s going to be tough; there’s an expectation and people are putting a spotlight on us as to when our home run is going to end.
“We’ve got a very hard game coming up here. Tony Mowbray’s a very good friend of mine and a good manager and we know they’ll come down here to a real rocking stadium. But we’ve got to go and get three points and that’s what counts.”
“Craig Bellamy started training again this week; he’s been doing some ball work as well. We’re being very cautious with him but we’re hoping he might be able to be involved in the squad this weekend which will be a big bonus for us, getting him back slightly earlier than we thought we would.Malky and his squad have been boosted with the return of Matthew Connolly and Craig Bellamy from injury ahead of the crunch clash. On the subject of his squad, the Gaffer added:
“Tommy Smith has started running outside and he will be another two/three weeks. Matt Connolly is another one who is coming back into it; he should be okay for Saturday’s game. So all in all we are going in the right direction. Three to four weeks time and hopefully we should have everybody back.”
