Given the recent form of both, his Eagles connections and the desire to atone for the Selhurst Park result earlier this year, Hudson is clearly looking forward to an exciting top of the table clash.
“We’ve had some good games in recent times against Palace,” he said. “They’re obviously a former club of mine, they’re doing well and we’re expecting a big crowd which should add to the day.
“It’s great to see them doing well, but I’m a Cardiff City player and want to see us doing slightly better. If we can take three points against them I’ll be happy, while we owe ourselves one after the game there this season, letting the game slip after starting the first half so well. But we let it slide and conceded two penalties, while not having a performance that matches our standards in the second half. We know that they’re a good side and know that we’ll have to be at our best to win.”
The match now sold out, Mark, having witnessed a bumper crowd and atmosphere here on a number of occasions is looking for the City faithful to produce once more.
“The atmosphere will no doubt be brilliant on Boxing Day - it’s a packed house and a good time of the year for fans to enjoy football,” he said. “I know that they’ll be right behind us, driving us on in full voice, which we very much want. With that to help us we hope to claim another three points.”
