It was a first home game of the season to forget for Cardiff City U18 side as they fell to a 4-1 loss to Ipswich Town.
City began the game in a determined fashion and Tyler Roche was the first to have a shot at goal. Although Roche tried his luck from an acute angle on the right his shot was on target, the Ipswich keeper alert enough to keep his shot out. Despite this first shot it was the away side who scored first when a well taken free kick was converted just five minutes into the game. They scored again after more pressure with Liam Matthews managing to get a hand to the strike but unable to keep it out.
