Cardiff City can confirm that striker Nicky Maynard has joined from West Ham United.
Twenty-five year old Nicky joins 'City on a three year deal and will be registered in time to be considered for selection against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday. He will take up squad number 23 for the 2012/13 season.
Born in Somerset, Nicky began his professional career at Crewe Alexandra in 2005 after coming through the Railwaymen's famed youth setup. He signed for Bristol City in 2008 for a deal reported to be in excess of £2 million, going on to score 45 goals in 124 appearances for the Robins over a four year spell.
West Ham came knocking on the door of the much-coveted forward during the January 2012 transfer window, securing Nicky's services as they looked to secure promotion back to the Premier League. That objective was achieved in May as the Hammers conquered the Championship Play-Offs, with Nicky contributing four goals along the way.
